As life gets faster we need to be better at prioritizing things. Once we are able to do that we can enjoy the benefits of life getting faster as we can get more done in a day. Time management is taught in some courses but most people learn to manage time on their own.
And those who are able to manage their time well are able to get further in their careers and are able to give more quality time to their family.
